Welcome to Southern Trinity Area Rescue (STAR)

Serving Southern Trinity and Eastern Humboldt with 911 Emergency Medical Response

Southern Trinity Area Rescue (STAR) is a nonprofit, partially volunteer ambulance service dedicated to serving the remote communities of Southern Trinity and Eastern Humboldt, California. As the region's 911 emergency ambulance provider, we deliver skilled, compassionate care across some of the most rugged and isolated terrain in the region.

Whether navigating steep mountain roads, responding to incidents along Highway 36, or reaching homes deep in the forest, our team is trained, equipped, and committed to bringing life saving care when it matters most.

Why STAR Matters

In a region where the nearest hospital can be hours away, STAR's rapid response capabilities are crucial. We provide care and transport for medical emergencies, ensuring that patients receive timely treatment and have the best chance for recovery.

Living in a remote region shouldn't mean being far from help. STAR ensures that every resident — no matter how far off the grid — has access to emergency medical care. Our work is about more than response times; it's about protecting the health, safety, and resilience of our community.
